P.S. it sleeted today. And we are supposed to have an inch of snow by tomorrow morning. Sunday's high is 30.

I really do wish I could be there with you! You're approaching your problems with exactly the attitude you need to approach them. However, remain cautious all week that you really are trying your BEST to enjoy your time and make the most of it. I often make resolutions like that and start strong but end weak, and I now know that each day I have to evaluate what I've done. If it's good enough, I do the same thing the next day and shoot for even more improvement (if possible).
If it's not good enough - I think I should be saying "If I don't give it my all" instead of "not good enough"; that just sends bad connotations - then I analyze what I didn't do to the best of my abilities and figure out a way to fix it the next day. That way I can be sure that I'm not fooling myself into thinking that I'm trying hard when I could be trying much harder.
I believe in you so much, though. You have so much strength that I've seen over these past few years, and if there is a way to salvage this opportunity and to take real advantage of it, you'll find a way. I'm going to take you out to dinner when you get back, and whether that's at the end of this semester or after you've finished your time there, I'll be greeting you proudly with a huge smile on my face. I love you. :)

I hope that means things are going well. :)
